New Design for amellie.net

Hello everyone! I wanna introduce a brand new layout design for my 5+ years blog, amellie.net.

Ok, don’t ask me how I could actually design a new blog when I had tons of things to do. Well, I was (and I am still) a bit sick — don’t worry, it’s just a flu, but that forced me to be at home for at least 2 days. And voila! This was the result of me being at home, obviously bored and trying to find something interesting to do .

Some of you may wonder, why choosing this color? (and I know some of you may be irritated with the color… LOL) Well, I don’t know. I guess I want to explore different colors. And I want to show you a girly side of me. Hahaha.

One thing I really like about this design is the random polaroid picture! Yes, the polaroid (if you didn’t notice, it’s actually on the very top of the page) is generated randomly. I got 6 different pictures uploaded — and I will add more in the future — and these polaroids are picked randomly. So if you refresh this page for a number of times, you’ll see (hopefully) different pictures each time. Try it .

So far, I’ve designed 4 different layouts for my blog. Here are some images of the previous blog designs:

And if you do pay attention, the first two designs (which were hosted in blogspot) had the blog title called “and the story continues”. The third design (which was the previous one), however, had the blog title called “the story still continues”. And the current one is called “the story apparently still continues”. Hehehe. So here comes version 3.0 .

Anyway, there are still so many things to fix and I haven’t actually checked whether the layout works okay in other browsers or operating systems (so far I’ve checked in both Firefox 3.5.7 and IE 7). Also, I’m pretty sure that you’ll find bugs soon. If you do, just let me know and I’ll fix it soon. And if you use different browsers/OS, could you let me know if it works okay? If it doesn’t, do let me know which part actually messes up (or send me an email with a screenshot ).
