Life Before Exams

My life has been quite “crazy” this week; and next week will definitely be worst than that. Days passed by so quickly. Everyone is having a hard time. Next week is the last day of class, that means: most of assignments and projects will be due on that week. Most people have at least 3 assignments; all of them will be due next week. GP South building suddenly becomes ‘alive’ both day and night. The number of students who stay in the computer labs until at least midnight is doubled, not to mention those who stay there for 24 hours, or even more. Yes, computer lab in GP South is the place where I spend most of my day (and night). I took a break from my work about a week ago, so that I can concentrate more on my assignments. Two big projects will be due on 31 May and one assignment will be due on 1 June. My life has been very hectic.
I’d describe my life as hectic, when cooking becomes a waste of time; when grocery shopping becomes impossible; when 15-minutes-break seems too long; when it becomes very hard for me to have a good sleep; when the first thing that comes out of my mind after I wake up is my assignments; when I even become totally forgetful that I have a family in other part of the world, wondering why I hadn’t called them for such a long time. I spend so much money for food these few weeks. It seems impossible for me to cook, knowing that I always go to Uni in the morning and come back at night. By the time I get back home, all I want to do is continue working on my assignments or get some sleep. That’s why I always eat at Uni; and I’m extremely broke right now. There was a time when I opened the fridge to get something to eat for breakfast, I realised that I had nothing to eat. I forgot that I hadn’t done grocery shopping for quite long.
I enjoy the whole thing… projects and coding assignments. I’m very happy, in fact, I have a chance to advance my programming skill using Java / JSP. I’ve done PHP for sure, .NET, and now.. JSP! How good is that?? Hehehe. Yes, I’m glad that I have a chance to learn these stuffs, including Oracle. I’m very familiar with the syntax of MS SQL Server, but not Oracle (especially PL/SQL). So, the projects push me to learn more about Oracle 
. And I’m also glad that I have very supportive and nice friends around me. My friends are those who always make me happy, whether they intended to do it or not. Without them, my life would be quite tough. Oh, you know what?? I got new nicknames! 
From “Database Goddess”, “CSS Goddess”, to “Design Goddess”. Hahaha. LOL.
Brisbane is getting cooler and cooler. It’s not that I don’t like winter; in fact I really love winter. But it’s just that I’m having a terrible cough, which has been going on for a week or so. All I can do is to eat regularly and get enough sleep, at most 6 hours every day. Thank God, up until now I manage NOT to stay in the computer lab until 6 am in the morning again… Hopefully it won’t happen this semester. It’s weird that, knowing how stressful my days are, I can still manage to read a book; few pages every single day. I do it when I’m at the bus stop 
. The book is about the author’s dreadful experience living in a North Korean concentration camp. This book certainly makes me feel SO grateful that I only have these 3 assignments to do; not the kind of hard physical works.
I had a very unfortunate time today. I was at Uni from 9 am. I was in the computer lab for almost the whole day, except in the afternoon, I went to the Vill (near Uni) for lunch with Murray and Linus. Murray drove us there. We ate INDONESIAN FOOD! Hahaha. Oh gosh, it’s been a long time ever since I sat at the Indonesian restaurant!! I ordered something that I can’t cook, chicken satay! 
Oh I miss my mom’s foods!! Anyway, I went back to Uni to work on the project with David, Lynn, and Keith. Time ran so fast, as usual. And I didn’t realise that it was already 8.45 pm!!! I was scared that I might miss the last bus!!! (during weekends, public transport sucks. it doesn’t run until midnight) Thank God, there was still one bus which arrived around 9.10 pm. I admit that I was procrastinating a bit… I was trying to finish my last coding that time. So I was running a bit late. When I reached the bus stop, the bus was already gone!!! 
I was sooo panic. It was 9.10 at night. No one was there, except me. The campus was totally dead! I didn’t have any credits left in my phone, so I couldn’t call anyone. I only have 65 cents of coints, so I used them for calling a cab . I had to wait for few minutes. I was quite scared someone would approach me or something, coz there’re many rape incidents going on in Brisbane. I tried to locate the emergency spot, so I knew where to go when something happens. But thank God, the taxi came. Oh maaaaaaan, I’m soooo broke.
I’ll have final exams in 2 weeks!!! Wish me luck! My final exam schedule is quite okay. My first final exam is on the 9th of June — and I haven’t prepared anything!! The second one is on the 12th, and the last one is on the 19th. I really can’t wait to wrap this semester up… New Zealand, I’m coming!
… and I managed to write this post, one paragraph per day…

good luck deh, kedengerannya bagian atas hectic bgt…tapi kayanya begitu deh kegiatan student..sibuk ama projects..hmm, bete juga yah,kelamaan hidup tanpa family..brasa independent bgt padahal kita butuh kehangatan keluarga tiep harinya….nggak ada temen brantem u/ hal2 kecil..family ama housemate jauh beda..

Good luck for you study. You are taking something related to computer, making websites, things like that? I am supposed to learn about it too, to make my blog look more attractive, but I am attacked by laziness often. hahahaha …
Recently I have been missing my days when I was that hectic at college, wanted to be forced to write papers, to prepare presentations, discussions, bla bla bla … And I realize that I have no enough money to pursue my study (again) in the near future.
What I often wish is to have a rich husband who will always let me go to college, to take different majors, to my heart’s content, and never complain about my ignoring him because I am busy with my assignments. hehehehe …
Guess what? When I am very busy like you are now, the time I can use to read is just like you, when I have to wait for something, such as bus, or when in the bus itself.
Enjoy your life there.

Cool website! I’m at uni at the moment studying for infs3222 getting ready for our study group tomorrow. I just tried to google for ‘infs32322 uq past exam papers’ and your site came up in the results

bintangjatuh: hey!! saya lagi belajar niiihhh PL/SQL heuee.. I have no idea about PERL, that’s why PL SQL seems quite strange to me. Oh kenapa syntax en format semua computer language gak disamain aja kaya Java, C, C#, or C++! It’d make our life even easier.
