Updates

I had a quite bad starting week. I lost ALL my freakin bookmarks (Favourites in IE)!!!!!! I was soooo frustrated! You guys might think, “Oh.. it’s just bookmarks, right? Was it a big deal?” YES, YES, YES, It WAS! I’ve been collecting SO MANY links for the past few years from the internet… all those scholarship links that I planned to try on… all those Saudi, Dubai, Qatari, and Indo company websites that I wanted to send my CV to after I graduate… all those university websites that I planned to find more info about… all those precious information were completely GONE! I was and I still am so pissed off. I didn’t have the backups. I use Foxmarks extension which saves all my bookmarks on its server. I thought it was safe. There’s no way that I would have lost those bookmarks. But then… I clicked on the wrong stupid button; my bookmarks were gone in a matter of seconds. It was 100% my fault. Well, I guess, I was TOO HAPPY for the past few weeks. Too happy and too forgetful to be grateful. Fair enough, this is what I was given in return. Now I just have to face it. Ganbatte!

I sort of made myself “disappear” for few months from my friends in Indonesia. I always appear offline (invisible mode) to everyone when using YM, barely send emails to the mailinglist (although I’m the owner of it), and never called them by phone for months. I don’t know, I just felt like I wanted to leave those things for a while. I know that calling overseas is very expensive in Indo, so I’m always the one who calls them (it’s so cheap here!!). Of course it’s not my responsibility or anything to call them all the time, but… you know, they are just like my family. I lived with them for 3 years (in the dorm); surely I know their goods and bads. They really are special people. I felt so bad for not keeping in touch with them. So I made phone calls to some of my closest friends this week; trying to catch up what they have been up to. I first called Ntie. She is one of my close friends whose house I always “invaded”. I used to sleep over at her house all the time; cause I didn’t like staying alone at home. Her mom is VERY nice — I could gain more weight whenever I stayed there hahaha. The foods were always delicious . Thank God her house survived from Jakarta floods. I also called her boyfriend who is also my close “Joker” Betawi friend, Anas. He and I used to sit together in class all the time. He helped me through terrible moments back then, though sometimes he is sooo annoying . I met him in Bandung when I visited Indo in 2006. Glad to hear that he already graduated. Keep fighting, Nas!! I also called Dini. I was SURPRISED when she said she always reads my blog (Din, if you read this… HELLO! hehehe. I appreaciate it, Din. I really do). I had a really great time talking with her! I screamed and laughed all the time hahaha. I remember that one day we went around South Jakarta, visiting from one outlet to the other. My [dad’s] car almost hit a bus!! — due to my bad driving hehehe. It was crazy. We also went all the way to Bogor with my parents to attend our teacher’s wedding party. It turned out that the location was in a village, far away from the city center! We were so late, that when we arrived there (at around midnight), the bride and groom were already asleep! Hahahaha. So we made the bride woke up (sorry, bu Kokom…) and probably messed up their first wedding night!!! LOL!!! Miss you guys so much!! I’ll be there in December, insya Allah!

I’ve been watching so many DVDs lately. I really like Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, and John Cusack, so I try to finish up watching all of their movies. So far so good. I just feel like my life becomes more intense because I mostly watch thriller movies these days hehehe. As for the actress, my favourites are Julianne Moore, Diane Keaton, and Meryl Streep. I think they are amazing . So, how about yours?
