EKKA & RiverFestival

@ 4:18 am | No comments

Allrite.. here they come.. I might be too late to post about this. If you visit Brisbane around August to September, then you’ll find out that there’re many events held in Brisbane. Namely EKKA and RiverFestival. I haven’t been to any of them (yeah, this is soooo embarrasing!). But I don’t care, oh well.. I’ll still be here for the next 2 years!!! I have lots of time hehehe.. EKKA is basically an exhibition where u can find animals, shows, shops, foods, concerts (not really), rides, etc. Btw those animals are brought from outside Brisbane. EKKA is held for about a week & located in somewhere near the Valley aka China Town. I went to the Valley a few days ago, on my way back, I saw many people wearing funny colourful wigs and hats.. u can straight away guess that they were coming from EKKA.

RiverFestival is Brisbane's major annual community and environmental festival celebrating our waterways and culture by focusing on the city's signature natural landmark, the Brisbane River”. Many people argue that the festival is a remark of the beginning of spring. Don’t know if it’s true or not. The most exciting event for many people is definitely Riverfire – where u can see the beautiful fireworks on the riversides: South Bank, City, Story Bridge, Victoria Bridge, etc. It’s so cool and romantic for many people, but NOT for me! hehehe.. I think it’s quite boring to watch those fireworks on the skies – not to mention how many people will turn out (thousands!). It’s ONLY fireworks! What’s a big deal??? Hahaha… I know I need some refreshments, but I think being at home is more useful/valuable than watching those “simple” fireworks.

Yeah.. that’s just me.. weird.
