seminars & ielts

I did my Social Issue project seminar today. It was actually a group project, so it wasn’t really hard - even I forgot to prepare for my seminar. I worked with Nikki and Haewon, we presented a seminar about Virus and Security: Malware. We had 3 subtopics: Spyware, Trojan Horse, and Worms. Basically, the seminar went well.

I got the IELTS result this afternoon. Alhamdulillah, I got 7.0 overall!! I didn’t expect that. And I was so surprise that I got 6 on writing!!!!! Wow, let me tell u the truth. I didn’t finish my essay. I was writing a conclusion for about 2 paragraphs, then the instructor told us to stop writing bcoz the time is up. I was so panic that time, and I kept myself optimist that I’ll not pass the writing. Uni of QLD needs the minimum score of 6.5 (overall) with 6 in writing. So far I don’t have problems with listening and reading. What I’m worried about was writing, I wasn’t confident enough to write 2 essays in 1 hour, which is a really short time for me. That’s why I was quite surprise to find out that I could get 6 in writing, which is not bad. These are my final results:
Listening 8.5; Reading 7.0; Writing 6.0; Speaking 6.0; Overall 7.0

Despite of my good IELTS result, I had a really bad luck today. I found out that my laptop charger is not working!! I was freaking out!! How can I survive without a computer??? Gosh!! And the bad thing was I haven’t started preparing my TSA seminar. So I was quite stressed during TSA and Math classes today. But then I borrowed Jenny’s charger (which is quite weird - although my and her laptops are different, the chargers are quite the same). So.. tomorrow i’ll definetely start my seminar preparation. Otherwise, i’ll face another unexpected “tragedy”… and i’m really in trouble!!
