Before I went 2 Sydney, I asked all my friends if they would come and join me to the trip. No one was interested. Everybody had his/her own plans, most of them would rather spend the semester break in their own country. I decided to go by myself, without bothering who would come, or who wouldn’t come. Then after Liz called us for the ‘trip meeting’, I finally knew who would be going to Sydney. I knew most of them, but yeah.. not really close. But the Sydney trip changed everything.
I shared the room in the hostel with Jenny, Kelly, and Melanie. I felt surprise that, as the days passed, Jenny, Kelly, and I were getting closer. I felt connected to them, they always appreciated what I did and they were great people to talk to. Especially me and Jenny, we always had a conversation every night – as we called it a “girl talk”. I had never talked about my ‘personal life’ to anybody since I arrived in Brisbane. Not after I met them, they were caring people who want to hear every single thing u said. It’s not because I don’t believe my friends, it’s just because they never let people to talk. They want people to listen to them, but not to hear them talk. That’s quite annoying, isn’t it? But thank God, I can handle it. I was quite shock when I knew them for the first time. But now I’m getting used to it.
Jenny and Kelly are different from them. They both good listener and trusted friends. For me, Jenny is a smart girl who seems to have a lot of experience in her life. She never want to make mistakes twice. She learns everything from her past and people experiences. She is an independent girl who accepts advices and comments about her from other people. She is an honest friend 2 whom u can trust. That’s why she is much closer to the guys than girls. She said to me that she hardly has a girl friend. She always get along with the guys.
Kelly is a quiet girl. She hardly talks to people. Sometimes we forget that she is there, because she almost like a sleeping beauty :p. She is also really shy, sometimes the guys like to tease her because of her shyness. She is the slowest person I’ve ever met. We always late because of waiting her. But apart from that, she is the most patience person in our room. She seems really enjoy her 48-hours-a-day life :p. She is really nice and cute!
Melanie is also a nice and down-to-earth girl. But we didn’t have a chance to meet her every day, as she always spent her days with her boyfriend, Gary.
2 be continued…
