Arrghh, I miss my blog… I haven’t post any message in this blog since last week. Well, a lot of thing had happened to me. My computer was infected by the virus!! Well, not actually the virus, but it called Adware. If u found ur computer with a lot of pop-up windows (advertising), or found the new programs that u never installed, ur computer might be running adware in it. Oneday, when I was browsing the internet, I found my computer downloading unknown program. I tried 2 stop it, but I couldn’t. When I checked the “Add/Remove Programes”, I found 3 programs that I’ve never installed, one of them was Lycos. Oh yeah, dun forget, it also effected my Internet Explorer browser. It ran sooooo slow! And seriously I’m not a patient person on this, so I tried a lot of things 2 prevent more adware/spyware (or whatever the name is) installed on my computer.
The reason why I got this adware is that I used Kazaa to download music or other stuff, which is (actually) so bad for our computer, because it’s using a p2p to share ur file. My teacher told me this, and it was true. When u download Kazaa, u’ll also download a program called Gator. Even this is kinda famous company, but most of websites call Gator as one of the adware. And it’s getting worst all the time, until u realized that ur computer had adware in it. And it’s not only for Kazaa, other downloading company/websites that used p2p are also had to be controled by u.
I read the adware/spyware information on Yahoo which is so useful & important for those of u who had the same experience as me. Although u already have the anti-virus software, u are also needed 2 download the anti-adware software for protecting ur computer. Because adware/spyware can’t be detected by the anti-virus software. And one thing that u should know, the adware also “attact” ur computer’s registery keys, so u hardly remove them.
This made me really angry, especially because I don’t have any idea how to solve those stupid registery keys. So I decided 2 download the anti-adware software which is free. Most of them can only detected the adware, but couldn’t remove it. So sadly 2 say that I had 2 install my laptop again, from the beginning.
That;s why I didn’t post anything on the past 4 days. So guys & gals… please protect ur computer and be careful!!!!
